Saudi Arabia Discover A Weapons Tues-Qaeda
 
Saudi Arabian authorities found a large number of weapons near the capital associated with al-Qaeda cell yagn destroyed in August, said an interior ministry spokesman said Sunday.
SPA news agency quoted the spokesman as saying the weapons were found inside a home after the interrogation of 44 people accused of having links with Al-Qaeda arrest was announced on August 19.
The weapons were found that included 281 Kalashnikov assault rifles, 250 bullets and a box containing 35 41 250 bullets, the spokesman said.
When the 43 Saudis and a foreign citizen was arrested in August, police also seized about 70 machine guns, 376 explosive devices and more than 31,000 electronic bullets at three places in a home storage Riyadh and desert hideouts.
"These people have a genuine relationship with Al-Qaeda organization," said interior ministry spokesman General Mansur al-Turki told AFP in August.
Operation of assassinations and bombings Al-Qaeda between 2003 and 2006 killed more than 150 Saudis and foreigners in Saudi Arabia, and followed up by security forces arrested about 9,000 suspected dissidents.
